Spectacularly Large Early Original Oil & Acrylics on Canvas by Isaac Maimon

General Description:
A spectacular large early oil & acrylics on canvas by contemporary Israeli artist Isaac Maimon.

This work is from the 1990s and is very reflective of Tarkay's Style. (Some people have even confused this work with Tarkay's.)

It is very full and demonstrates a particular attention to detail ... a clearly different canvas from the latter works from this series that have some 'repeatedness' to them.

Works of this period and detail are hard to find nowadays. The work is delightfully framed and can be shipped thus ... but it will cost double the stated shipping price to go in the frame.

The Artist:

Born in Beer-Sheba, Israel in 1951

Between the years 1973-1980 he studied at the Avni Institute of Fine Arts in Tel Aviv.

He currently divides his time between the US and Israel.

Maimon's world is the coffeehouse culture which has long captured artists such as Bonnard and Lautrec before him.

The lightness of the cafe cultures has a charm and beauty which is fertile enough for Maimon to devote his career to, with great success;

He holds the title of Professor of Fine Art (at the University of Ben Gurion) and in 1991 he made his international debut, touring the United States with five solo exhibitions.

He continues to hold annual one-man-shows in the US and has been exhibited throughout the country and Japan.
